NBA DFS & Lineups & Picks for March 13, 2018

For the 3/13/18 slate tonight, we’ve got our top NBA DFS picks for guards, forwards, and centers for Cash and GPP lineups on DraftKings and FanDuel. The info below can also be used for crafting your daily fantasy basketball strategy at FantasyDraft.

Please note the advice below is relevant for daily fantasy purposes. A player or team might be better or worse from a fantasy perspective than in real life due to matchup, price, and lots of other factors. This is important to consider when constructing a roster.

Injuries play a huge role in NBA DFS on a nightly basis, and value plays at the various daily fantasy sites can arise at a moment’s notice. This time of the season, even more than usual. We post this article first thing in the morning, without the initial reports from shootaround, or reports from beat writers. So always, always check the starting lineups and injury news right before tipoff.

Best NBA DFS Picks for March 13, 2018

Jeff Teague @ WAS ($6.6k DraftKings, $7.0k FanDuel)
A very safe play in this price range, Jeff Teague is almost certain to meet value with Jimmy Butler (knee) inactive. He sees a team-high 4.6 percent rise in usage rate (to 26 percent) and averages 1.07 FPs per minute when Butler is off the floor this season. He’ll have a marked advantage over Washington backup PG Tomas Satoransky in terms of quickness. Washington is scoring more efficiently with John Wall and should make this a borderline shootout, giving Teague tournament appeal along with Wizards star Bradley Beal ($8.6k, $8.4k).

Tim Hardaway Jr. vs. DAL ($6.4k DraftKings, $6.5k FanDuel)
As the most reliable Knicks player right now, Tim Hardaway Jr. is worth using in Cash games. He could flash his upside in this matchup. Dallas is a middling defensive team that becomes much more vulnerable with wing stopper Wesley Matthews (leg) out over the next four games at least. Dennis Smith Jr. (quad) is also a bit hobbled, and the diminutive Yogi Ferrell, who stands 5-foot-11 to Hardaway’s 6-foot-6, has been starting at SG. THJ averages 18.4 PPG at home this season and has seen his usage spike to 25.2 percent while shooting 48.3 percent from the floor this month.

Troy Daniels vs. CLE ($4.1k DraftKings, $3.6k FanDuel)
Injury news out of Phoenix is perhaps the most important thing to watch for tonight. The Suns could be without Devin Booker (arm), T.J. Warren (back), and Josh Jackson (knee) for a second straight game. With those players out on Saturday, Troy Daniels led the way with 17 points over a team-high 36 minutes, while rookies Davon Reed ($3.7k, $3.5k) and Shaquille Harrison ($3.5k, $3.7k) produced career-high point totals. All three would be punt play candidates if Booker and Warren remain out.

Others to Consider: Russell Westbrook, Jrue Holiday, Nic Batum, Kris Dunn, Isaiah Thomas, Jamal Murray, J.J. Barea, J.R. Smith (if Rodney Hood is out)

Anthony Davis vs. CHA (11.2k DraftKings, $12.9k FanDuel)
Unlike in past years, Anthony Davis showed his toughness by returning quickly from an ankle injury. He produced an absurd triple-double with 25 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 blocks in a pivotal matchup with the Jazz on Sunday. Every game is huge for the Pelicans right now, and AD is a matchup nightmare for the Hornets. Charlotte has a solid low-post defender in Dwight Howard, but he’s not quick enough to handle Davis on the perimeter, and starting PF Marvin Williams is far too small. AD is more likely than not to go bananas on a nightly basis.

Paul Millsap @ LAL ($6.4k DraftKings, $6.7k FanDuel)
Paul Millsap is slowly ramping up after missing several months with a broken wrist. The former Hawk probably could’ve played more than the 24 minutes he logged Sunday in a blowout win over Sacramento. He dropped 21 points on 8-of-12 FG shooting while playing 30 minutes in a win over the Lakers last Friday, so clearly he enjoys their fast-paced style of play. Kyle Kuzma ($6.4k, $6.4k) is another solid play in this price range but not necessarily an elite defender capable of stopping Millsap. He could benefit if the Lakers are drawn toward the magnetic Nikola Jokic.

Davis Bertans vs. SAC ($4.4k DraftKings, $4.4k FanDuel)
With LaMarcus Aldridge (knee) iffy, Kawhi Leonard (quad) still out, and Pau Gasol always questionable on the second half of B2B sets, Davis Bertans could emerge as a very appealing value tonight. Sacramento is a lowly challenger for a Spurs team that’s still very tough at home. When Aldridge and Gasol are off the floor, Bertans averages 0.5 points and 0.95 FPs per minute. He’s scored in double figures in five consecutive games leading into this contest.

Others to Consider: LeBron James, Blake Griffin, Tobias Harris, Larry Nance Jr., Bobby Portis, Kyle Kuzma, Wilson Chandler, Caris LeVert, Rudy Gay

Andre Drummond @ UTA ($8.5k DraftKings, $9.8k FanDuel)
This is the lowest Andre Drummond’s price tag has been on DK in several months, which makes sense considering he’s facing off with reigning Defensive Player of the Year in Rudy Gobert. Yet he had one of his biggest games of the season with 30 points, 24 rebounds, and six blocks against Gobert and Utah on Jan. 24. Clearly, Drummond is talented enough to produce in any matchup, and he’s still thriving since the Pistons added Blake Griffin. Certainly worth a look on DK as a good bet for a big double-double, Drummond is a premier tournament play due to his expected low ownership and proven upside.

Brook Lopez vs. DEN ($5.8k DraftKings, $6.7k FanDuel)
When these teams met last Friday, Brook Lopez bullied the younger Nikola Jokic en route to 29 points on 12-of-18 FG shooting. He’s not the same type of bargain now that he’s playing starting minutes, but BroLo is worth his mid-tier price tag. He’s averaging a solid 19.3 PPG and 4.2 RPG while shooting 59 percent from the floor over his last six appearances. Health has been the biggest impediment to his production, but the talented center is averaging 20.2 points and 2.2 blocks per 36 minutes and is a good option now that he’s seeing steady run.

Others to Consider: Karl-Anthony Towns, Nikola Jokic, Rudy Gobert, Jonas Valanciunas, Kyle O’Quinn (if Enes Kanter is out)
